Dear Parents and Students, Welcome to Auburndale Elementary School! The Auburndale community has high expectations for every student and has made the commitment to work collaboratively to ensure that students succeed with academic, social and emotional success. I value communication with you and have set up procedures to ensure that effective communication is ongoing between school and home. If you need to contact or meet with me, simply call the school office at 715-652-2812 and speak with Mrs. Richardson, our School Secretary. If she is unable to answer your question, she will be happy to arrange a time for us to speak on the phone or in person. Feel free to e-mail me at aplace@aubschools.com whenever it is convenient for you. I am usually available before school and at dismissal time to answer any questions or concerns. I realize the importance of maintaining a clear line of communication between school and home and I certainly make every effort to accomplish this goal. I encourage you to get involved! The more you get involved, the more you and your child will benefit from school. I strongly encourage you to join the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), to volunteer as a classroom tutor, and chaperone on field trips. Please contact your classroom teacher or call the school for more information on ways to participate. I am very excited to be your principal for the 2009/2010 school year, and look forward to our continued partnership in education. Together we can and will make a difference for our students. Yours in Education, Andrew J. Place
