On February 3, 2006, the A.M. and P.M. Pre-K classes held a parent/child workshop. The goal of the workshop was to provide parents with fun and easy activities to do with their children at home to encourage language, fine motor skills, concepts and creativity. The day was also an opportunity to visit with other Pre-K parents and children.

I tried to teach my child with books. He gave me only puzzled looks.

I tried to teach my child with words. They passed him by unheard.

In despair I turned aside, "How will I teach my child?" I cried.

Into my hand he put the key. "Come," he said. "And play with me."
